The Noosa region was recognised as Queensland's first UNESCO Biosphere Reserve in 2007, proof that people and the environment can live harmoniously.

Noosa offers lots of outdoor adventure in nature and plenty of opportunity to rest, relax and spoil yourself. The Noosa area comprises of a variety of different villages & natural locations that can be easily explored or enjoyed while holidaying or visiting. Make sure you experience all of these locations as they are all naturally unique.

Noosa Heads is a very popular location due to it being surrounded by calm bays, surf beach, the Noosa river, and the Noosa National Park. Noosa Heads has a coastal chic vibe with top-notch beachside restaurants, bars & nearby boutiques in Hastings Street. You can spend the day at the beach surfing or relaxing and then enjoy the street eateries and shopping that its renown for.

Noosa Heads National Park is a short walk from Noosa Heads and is a stunning coastal forest with scenic views, nature trails, swimming beaches and picnic spots along the way. There are signed trails with various hikes. Noosa is the 10th World Surfing Reserve, recognising the community's surf and conservation culture and environmental protection. The 5km stretch of waves from the Noosa River Mouth, across the National Park points to north Sunshine Beach and offers five world-class point breaks.

Noosaville is a relaxed village not far from Noosa Heads that stretches along the Noosa River. It boasts gorgeous water views, shady trees and picnic spots along 2km of grassy foreshore. Many restaurants, boutiques and cafes line up along Gympie Terrace overlooking the river and are close by to a great range of family-friendly holiday accommodation. There's also fine dining & unique dining experiences over the water and plenty of river cruises, hire boats and water activities to do.

Noosa Everglades is one of only two everglade systems on Earth, and is a world of water, wilderness and wonder in the upper reaches of the Noosa River. Known as the River of Mirrors because of the amazing reflections in the water, the Noosa Everglades is a 60km stretch of pristine waters, magnificent flora and fauna and narrow waterways. Experience breath-taking beauty and tranquillity as you explore the Noosa Everglades with guided and self-guided kayak tours, on a guided boat tour, in your own boat or on foot.

Getting To Noosa

From Brisbane's International and Domestic Airport or the Brisbane CBD, Noosa is 140km and will take approximately 1 hour and 45 minutes to drive via the Pacific Coast Way (Bruce Highway). Driving yourself with either a rental car or your own vehicle is one of the best ways to explore the region.

Alternatively, you can take a bus or train, which takes around 2 hours and 30 minutes. The bus and train options will require you to transfer to another bus or train at Nambour Station to get to Noosa.

You can fly to Noosa, however, there is no commercial airport in Noosa. The nearest airport to Noosa is the Sunshine Coast Airport which is located about 30 minutes drive away at Marcoola. This Sunshine Coast Airport has flights from major cities such as Sydney and Melbourne, as well as regional flights from other parts of Queensland. From the airport, you can take a bus, taxi or Uber to Noosa.
